Buckler (American 1869-1953), signed lower corner titled verso oil painting on canvas: 16x 20 inches framed: 21.5 x 25.5 inches condition: very good and presentable provenance: private collection, New York, private collection, England Buckler was an impressionist landscape painter in New England. Born in Nova Scotia in 1869, he relocated to Massachusetts where he spent most of his life. He was influenced by Claude Monet and was a member of the Boston Art Club where he exhibited his paintings. He also made trips to Vermont where he painted the hills, streams and country roads.
