The mosaic style painting shows a medley of coloured flecks, based on a neutral background, with a soft range of pinks and turquoise. There is a faint outline of a face lost amongst the cubist paint strokes. Cubism is an early-20th-century avant-garde art movement that revolutionised European painting and sculpture, and inspired related movements in music, literature and architecture. Cubism has been considered the most influential art movement of the 1900-1999. The work has excellent provenance having come from a large collection of the artists work in Normandy, France. The artist exhibits with the Galerie Artitude, Paris. Condition report: The painting and canvas are both in a very pleasing condition.
