Abstract Composition signed by Gilbert Pelissier (French 1924-2013) dated 85′ oil painting on canvas, unframed canvas: 9.5 x 14 inches inscribed verso condition: overall very good and pleasing. The work is vintage and has been stored in the artists studio and as such one must expect a few very minor surface scuffs, etc. provenance: the artists estate, Paris, France. Gilbert Pélissier, born on 27. October 1924 in Paris and died on 19. April 2013, in Rivière-sur-Tarn was a French expressionist abstract painter. He operated from a studio close to that of Nicolas Schöffer, the Hungarian designer and artist. He was part of the collective of artists from the Villa des Arts in Paris, consisting of sixty workshops for painters, sculptors, photographers and architects.
