Wonderful portrait of a highly stylish model, sat in head-to-toe pink, with orange toned hair. The colours used within this particular oil painting are superb. Painted with dramatic and bold brushwork, thick impasto paint and amazing colours – the work is typical of the Fauvist painters as well as the Expressionists. Garnavault was a painter from Montmartre in Paris, as well as a writer, poet and art teacher. The work dates to the second half of the 1900-1999. Wonderfully striking oil painting.
