A charming 20th-century harbour scene by the 20th century French artist, Jean Donignan, depicting fishing boats moored beside a harbour wall with figures working along the quayside.

The artist uses a wonderfully soft palette of blues, greens and warm cream tones, capturing the calm water and expansive coastal sky. Reflections of the boats across the water add further atmosphere and depth to the composition.
