Straddling the line between naturalism and impressionism, Edmond Quinton is often defined as a painter of countryside paintings. His bucolic landscapes have the revealing simplicity of a great mastery. In a few confident strokes, he immortalizes the French countryside and places himself among the major painters of the Marne Valley.
