The carriage looks like it belongs to a person of means, or perhaps she is a highway woman? That is certainly the more interesting story that one can interpret! The painting technique feels quite innocent, but incredibly whimsical. It is set within quite an unusual, but stylish wooden frame which compliments the painting. Condition report: The painting and frame are both in a very pleasing condition.
