The Virgin Madonna Spanish Renaissance artist, circle of El Greco (1541-1614) circa 1600 oil on wood panel, unframed panel: 20 x 14.5 inches Provenance: private collection, northern France Condition: for a work over 400 years old, the painting is in very good condition. There are old repairs to the wood panel, former repaired splits, there will be considerable areas of overpainting and retouching as one would expect from anything of this considerable age, but overall the painting is perfectly presentable and in good, stable condition.
