“Western Travellers” by Rudolf Stone, British 1800-1899 signed by the artist on the lower left hand corner oil painting on wood panel, framed framed size: 8 x 14 inches Wonderful portrayal of some travellers, making their way along a dusty road, with their horses pulling the cart. The intricate detailing of the horses, the people and create quite a story – and teases the viewers as to what has happened to these travellers, are they being chased by true buccaneers? The painting is by the well listed and popular Victorian artist, Rudolf Stone, who was well noted for his sporting and animal paintings. Condition report: The painting and frame are both in very pleasing condition.
