A finely detailed original chromolithograph depicting a Pointer, published in Cassell’s Illustrated Book of the Dog circa 1880. The print portrays the breed standing alert in a classic pointing stance, perfectly capturing the Pointer’s athletic build, keen expression and natural elegance. Produced using the finest Victorian chromolithographic techniques, the rich colouring and exceptional detail make this both an attractive decorative print and an important piece of canine history.

Beautifully presented within a burr walnut veneered frame and mounted beneath glass, this decorative sporting print would make an excellent addition to a collection of canine art, Victorian natural history illustrations or country house interiors.
